Mirada Master Plan
Mirada’s site plan has an organic feel as it works around open space and water. The Lagoon and surrounding amenities are centrally located, so they are easy to access from anywhere in the community. Mirada is all ages but includes an active adult area by Lennar that has its own amenity center. Residents of the Lennar active adult neighborhood get to enjoy their own amenities, as well as the larger community amenities. Trails wind through the neighborhoods and connect them, as well as through the open space.

Mirada blends luxury, recreation, and modern design. The wow factor in the community starts with a grand entrance that features multiple entry mounds with fountains.

Metro Development Group worked with Andreasen Design on the neighborhood and lagoon site plans, as well as the landscape design of the community. The community beautifully balances the natural and the manicured as can be seen along the main boulevard.

Metro Development Group has multiple partners in their communities including Streetleaf, a developer of solar streetlights. These streetlights are cost effective, quick to install, and eco-friendly. They are also storm resilient, rated to withstand extreme weather, even Cat 5 hurricanes and the lights stay on even if the electricity goes out. Resiliency, especially against hurricanes, is key in Florida.

This 15-acre resort-style Lagoon is one of the largest human-made lagoons in the country and took years to plan and build. The Lagoon uses over 8,600 tons of beach sand and took 45 days to fill with nearly 33 million gallons of water. Plus, it includes almost a mile of shoreline.

The Lagoon by MetroLagoons features clear blue waters, soft-sand beaches, and a wide range of activities and programming, giving Mirada residents the opportunity to live a coastal lifestyle and enjoy the sun in the Tampa Bay area suburbs of Pasco County. To celebrate the opening of this local destination in 2023, Metro brought together local vendors, carnival attractions, and local entertainment to the white sand beaches of Mirada Lagoon. Thousands of residents and tourists attended two whole days of events with friends, family, food, and excitement.
